An excellent opportunity has arisen for a permanent role of deputy Borough Lead nurse for Luton and Bedford inpatient services. We are seeking to recruit two suitably qualified, enthusiastic and creative individuals to take up posts of deputy Lead Borough Nurse within Luton and Bedford inpatient service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team dedicated in developing care pathways, participate in quality improvement initiatives, service user and carers involvement in service development and staff development. The post holders will lead on continuous development and improvement of nursing in providing high quality care to patients. The role requires the post-holder to be visible, provide advice and support to all nurses and teams across the service.
This is a key leadership role; the successful candidates will take responsibility for high functioning and committed nursing teams. The post carries service wide responsibility for nursing standards.

Candidates are likely to be established senior nurse leaders with a strong experience of operating in NHS settings. You will have a track record of high level performance in a range of areas including demonstrable experience of leading and delivering innovative quality improvement initiatives; leading and implementing on the modernisation of nursing care and workforce planning. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting teams; they will enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.
