Lay Member, lead in Championing Patient & Public Involvement

Job Reference: 142-SN-31

NHS South Norfolk CCG
Governing Body
Lakeside 400, old chapel way NR7 0WG

Following authorisation in principle to merge the five Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Norfolk and Waveney will form a new single CCG from 1 April 2020. We are now beginning the search for our new Governing Body members. The new Norfolk and Waveney CCG will cover a population of 1.1 million people and have an annual budget £1.6 billion for health and care services.

This is an exceptional and exciting opportunity as we seek to recruit a Lay Member to champion patient and public involvement.

The role requires someone who can bring relevant experience, local knowledge, objectivity, and challenge as well as a passion for commissioning high-quality health and care services for the people of Norfolk and Waveney. This role will help to ensure that, in all aspects of the CCG‘s business, the public voice of the local population is heard and that opportunities are created and protected for patient and public empowerment in the work of the CCG.

This is a chance to make a positive difference to the lives of local people as we make the right, clinically-led commissioning decisions.

Interviews for the role will take place week commencing 10 February 2020.
