OPEN DAY – 1st February 2020 – Warrington Radiology Department

Primary Imaging – Band 5 – Qualified/Qualifying 2020

Warrington Radiology Department is having an Open Day for anyone who is Amazing! On Saturday 1st February we invite you to visit our department to meet the staff and Managers, between 0900 and 1600.

You will be able to have a tour of the department, learn about the exciting things we have planned for 2020 and beyond, and get a feel for our extremely positive and friendly department. If you wish, we are happy to provide an interview on the day!

Many are unaware of the ‘hidden-gem of the North-West’ that is Warrington and Halton Hospital. We are a team that is keen to push boundaries and develop our staff from within. We support Radiographer Reporting in Chest, Abdomen, MSK, and Nuclear Medicine. We also support Radiographer-Led CT Colonography, with advanced practice in Mammography & Interventional Theatres.

We encourage self-development and fully support attendance at National and International Conferences to ensure we get the best outcomes for our patients. In 2019 we had delegates and presenters at UKIO, RSNA, BNMS and BEMUS.

In return, we expect a team approach and some hard work! However to ensure work/life balance, we operate a shift system that provides an additional 6 weeks additional leave per year through TOIL. Also, our overnights are paid, and are not part of a shift!

Warrington is situated at the heart of the regional motorway network, with quick and easy access throughout the region and the wider UK via the M62, M6 and M56.

Many more exciting cultural destinations are on the doorstep of Warrington, including the historic city of Chester, and the cosmopolitan cities of Liverpool and Manchester, all within approximately 30 minutes’ drive.

Rail links are also outstanding. There are frequent services to London via the West Coast Main Line, with a travel time of less than two hours. East-west rail links are also excellent, with the Trans Pennine Express service linking the town to Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and the east coast. Travel times to both Liverpool and Manchester are 30 minutes or less by rail.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
