GP Practice Receptionist

Salary: £10.00-£11.50 (dependant on experience)

We are looking for a Receptionist/Administrator to work 40 hours per week to join our admin and reception team providing administrative support to GP's, Practice manager and members of the primary health care team, with flexibility in working across sites.

This is an essential role, helping to provide a welcoming and friendly, professional service to general members of the public, and all staff and visitors to the practice.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience working within the NHS/GP Practice. You must be self-motivated, forward thinking with excellent customer service skills; it is important that the candidate can remain calm under pressure and deal with patient queries while answering calls and dealing with GP requests, be assertive, able to multi task, deal with a high volume of patients in reception, while dealing with a busy telephone line

The candidate must be enthusiastic and computer literate, ideally with experience is using EMIS WEB or similar clinical system. This role is a wide and varied one, and the successful candidate will provide a range of administration duties such as organising and maintaining filing systems, electronic messages, using own initiative, providing a comprehensive administration/clerical service and attending meetings within the practice. You must be organised, quick thinking, be a problem solver, and be empathetic towards patients using the practice; a person who likes working in a team but you should be able to take responsibility for getting on with your work and providing results without being asked!.
