Clinical Psychologist specialising in Neuro-Rehabilitation 8A Integrated Care Service line: 1.0 WTE (Part time appointments may be considered) West London NHS Trust is looking for a clinical psychologist with a special interest in adult neuro-rehabilitation. This is a unique opportunity to join a brand new Clinical Health and Neuropsychology service. The service will provide psychological support for adults referred to Ealing Community partners who have a range of conditions including acquired brain injury, neurological disorder, chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorder, diabetes and pulmonary disease.


We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who will be the lead in providing a clinical neuropsychology service to the ENable Neuro Community Rehabilitation Service and a level 3 Neuro-Rehabilitation ward, based at Clayponds hospital. The service will also include a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist and an Assistant Psychologist.

The role involves working as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech and language therapists. The clinical psychologist is responsible for providing neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation for patients with neurological disorders as well as providing support for their families and carers. This includes cognitive rehabilitation, psychological therapy to help with emotional adjustment and engagement in rehabilitation, behavioural interventions, teaching and consultation. The role will also include opportunities to support and develop links with the existing IAPT service in Ealing, via supervision and co-facilitation of groups for patients.


The postholder will be expected to visit patients in their own homes, work places, community clinics, and any other settings in which the service is appropriately provided.
We are looking for someone who has excellent clinical skills, experience of working with neurological conditions, the ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of professionals and an enthusiasm for service development. Experience of providing training and supervision to a variety of health professionals will be an advantage.


There will be excellent opportunities for CPD and we can provide supervision for psychologists working towards entry on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychology.
