We are looking for a Physiotherapist with MSK experience to join our NWCATS team in Greater Manchester!

Our North West clinical assessment and treatment services areopen 7 days a week, Monday to Sunday, and this is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on a rota/shift pattern basis.

Overall summary of the position:

To provide an effective and efficient clinical physiotherapy service to Community based NWCATS MSK Physiotherapy and Direct Services within the framework of clinical governance.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions
  • Provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme to patients referred to the NWCATS service
  • Play an active role in the effective delivery of the NWCATS service both on the phone and face to face
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Physiotherapy intervention and modify as appropriate
  • Provide specialist advice to colleagues concerning the care or treatment of patients where appropriate
  • Take delegated responsibility from senior colleagues for the management of patients with specific conditions and be responsible for providing specialist physiotherapy and treatment plans for patients with these conditions
  • Contribute to achieving performance targets for the service including the management of poor performance and to be responsible for achieving targets within their clinical area
  • Liaise with higher education establishments for planning and provision of student placements through student liaison officers
  • Be involved in clinical audit and outcome measures to interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts to modify treatments accordingly

You should apply if you have:

  • Specialist knowledge in the management of MSK conditions
  • Proven ability of complex case management
  • Portfolio which demonstrates evidence of CPD and reflective practice
  • Awareness of appropriate NICE guidance and evidence-based practice
  • Sound assessment and diagnostic skills which allow in depth provision of care for a complex caseload
  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
