Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist – Community

Crewe Community Care Team

Band 6

31  hours per week – although full time, part time considered.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and forward thinking Crewe Care Community.

As a newly formed Care Community we are proud of the transformation work we have already achieved in order to establish the “Right Professional, Right Place, Right Time” approach.

As part of this approach we aim to provide a rapid, unplanned and planned therapy response to meet the needs of our local population, facilitating early discharge from hospital and reducing hospital admissions.

There is a varied and interesting caseload and you will need to demonstrate knowledge, experience and relevant clinical skills with patients with complex / long term conditions, falls, orthopaedics, general mobility problems, and neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke and Motor Neurone Disease.

The post will involve rehabilitation of patients in their own homes.

 

Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish good working relationships with health and social care team members and GP’s are essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising assistant staff and students.

Every effort will be made to accommodate special interests and all staff are involved in Professional / Peer group meetings and supervision, with opportunities for continuing professional development.

You will need to be a car driver / have the ability to travel to work in a range of community locations.
