The Physiotherapy department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is currently seeking to recruit a band 2 rotational physiotherapy assistant on a permanent contract. This position, requiring the successful candidate to work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, with a commitment to working weekend days on a rota basis. Physiotherapy assistants are key members of our team.

Physiotherapy assistants may have their own caseload of patients for example supervising exercises, assisting patients to walk, or with functional activities and educating patients. Also they work assisting the physiotherapists in the treatment of patients requiring more than 1 therapist. The role will also involve administration and housekeeping duties including cleaning equipment and stock control. This will necessitate basic computer literacy and organisational abilities. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a willingness and ability to learn quickly and efficiently, with the support of registered staff. The post holders will work alongside physiotherapy staff and members of the multidisciplinary team in ward, clinic and outpatient environments. Teams work across both Queens Medical Centre and the City Hospital and therefore the campus of work will vary according to the rotation staff are on at the time.

There are two posts available - one Full Time - 37.5 hours per week and another Part Time - 18.75 hours per week (Monday - Wednesday).

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly across seven days as per department policy.

I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
    • Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incurs a cost dependent on the level of check required (£45 for enhanced and £28 for standard). I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of a DBS check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
