THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 1 YEAR TO COVER A SECONDMENT.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has over 6000 births per year. Our Health Board is geographically and culturally diverse which enables midwives to gain a broad understanding of current challenges. This is a very exciting time to join Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, as we will be consolidating our specialist services within a new hospital and specialist critical care centre in 2021. We currently have two obstetric units, and a free standing birth centre. One of our obstetric units has a maternity critical care unit for women requiring high dependency care, whilst both obstetric units have an alongside midwife led care unit and pool for water birth. This is an integrated post and will provide you with the opportunity to support key services in the maternity unit and to ensure high quality, safe care for women during their pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

We are looking to recruit experienced band 6 midwives to join our team at Nevill Hall Hospital. This is an integrated post and could potentially be required to work within the hospital and within the community areas.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
