Working as an administration assistant in a busy CAMHS Service you will be the first point of contact for service users, signposting clients to appropriate departments. Ensuring all telephone calls are received and dealt with in a courteous and diplomatic manner.

You will also provide an administrative support function; ensuring delegated tasks are completed within the agreed timeframe and within the boundaries of competence.

To assist in maintaining service delivery by creating, managing and maintaining electronic and paper based systems working in a timely manner. You will also book rooms and appointments for the clinical team in a timely manner, as well as scheduling appointments using the Electronic Patient Record system.

You will need to have very good organisational and time management skills. The ability to touch type is also a requirement for this post for typing up clinic letters and reports for the clinical team.
You will be processing data into the electronic patient record therefore a keen eye to detail is essential, alongside the ability to be flexible and be able to manage the sometimes sensitive nature to the work carried out within the CAMHS Service.

The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost from your salary.
