Nurse Orthopaedic Specialty

Orthopaedic Unit Trauma and Elective Ward
£24,214 to £30,112 per annum, pro rata

We are looking to recruit nurses who are passionate about working within the orthopaedic setting to join our dynamic Orthopaedic Unit which consist of an orthopaedic trauma ward with 39 beds and an orthopaedic elective ward with 18 beds. We are a fast moving service with 12 Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeons who undertake a wide range of specialty surgery. We are an extremely proactive and patient centered service and have a number of initiatives in place to support the recovery and ongoing care of our patients including “Joint School”, Pre and Post-Operative phone calling and Enhanced Recovery.

We are committed to providing training, support & education to nurses with little or no experience in this specialty who have the passion and drive for developing their skills further. As an individual, you will also be given the opportunity to develop professionally by becoming a link nurse in, nutrition, tissue viability, sepsis or falls. Development of a specialist interest can also be undertaken with CPD modules following discussion with the ward manager.
