A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a fellow in oncoplastic breast surgery at the internationally renowned Nottingham Breast Institute for a period of twelve months.

This post will suit both UK and international senior surgical trainees, wishing to train in or further pursue their skills in oncoplastic breast surgery. MRCS or FRCS examinations are not prerequisite for applicants, but they do need have full GMC registration.

The job plan will have as a majority component training opportunities, but will have dedicated sessions for service commitment.

The Nottingham Breast Team has an international reputation for service innovation, training and research. The appointee will be expected to contribute to these activities and support both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching

The clinical department has purpose-built facilities for out-patient activity on the City Campus. In addition, breast screening is carried out at Ropewalk House and on mobile screening vans. Inpatient beds are available at the City Campus.

There is no on-call commitment.

    The quoted salary will be pro rata for part time workers.

  • I also consent to the Occupational Health Department confidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
  • Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incurs a cost dependent on the level of check required (£45 for enhanced and £28 for standard). I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of a DBS check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
