The CLCH North West Bedded Rehabilitation Units cover 2 sites in the London boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster and accept patients from the boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster and Hammersmith & Fulham. Our current Band 7 Team Lead Occupational Therapy vacancy is predominately based at the Athlone Rehabilitation Unit in Westminster. Athlone is a 22 bedded unit accepting adult clients with a variety of conditions/diagnoses. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Occupational Therapists across the Athlone and Alexandra Rehab units. They will also be responsible for the everyday running of the units alongside the Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist and will be well supported by the Clinical Lead. This post will offer applicants an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients, engaging in comprehensive assessment, patient centered treatment and rehabilitation.

So what do you need to join our team?

• Significant post graduate experience of multidisciplinary team work in an NHS environment
• Strong knowledge and expertise in working in adult/ older people’s rehabilitation, neuro rehabilitation and musculoskeletal/orthopedic services
• Experience of working in close collaboration with community services, social care colleagues and other voluntary sector organizations in order to deliver safe transition of care from the rehabilitation setting to discharge destination/home
• Experience in directly managing other members of therapy staff
• Experience in service development and in organizing and implementing training/teaching programmes for healthcare professionals and clients
