CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY SERVICES

HIGHLY SPECIALIST PSYCHOLOGIST (Band 8a)

BOLSOVER COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH TEAM

(ADULT SERVICES)

Up to 37.5 hrs per week

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside other experienced Clinical Psychologists to further develop and consolidate skills within the context of supportive multi-disciplinary teams working with working age adults.

You will be providing a high quality clinical service through direct clinical work for complex cases, and promoting psychological ideas within a multi-disciplinary team by offering training, supervision, advice and support to other professionals working within the Neighbourhoods.

This is an exciting time for community services with a developing integrated Personality Disorder Service and trauma pathway of which psychology has a pivotal role, and we are looking for a committed and enthusiastic psychologist committed to multidisciplinary team working with excellent relationship-building skills and ability to manage varied work demands.

Line managed within profession, you will be joining a Derbyshire – wide well respected and valued Clinical Psychology service within a Foundation Trust covering mental health recovery services across the lifespan, Learning Disability, Substance Misuse and Children’s services. There are monthly departmental meetings to ensure good networking, peer support and a consistent approach to team-working and in addition to one to one supervision there are a range of monthly supervision groups e.g. in neuro psychological assessment and specialist therapies (Cognitive Analytic, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Dissociation and EMDR).

There are regular in-house CPD events for example we have recently run a series of events on dissociation, CAT, CFT, ACT, Narrative Approaches and Neuropsychological assessments. The department has strong links to local Clinical Psychology Training Courses, and we would expect to support all our staff in developing the necessary competencies and experience to supervise trainees.

The post-holder will need to be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council also Chartered with the BPS, and must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post

DBS Check
The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.

We are obliged to check employment history for at least the past 3 years for successful candidates. Please ensure that the referees you provide us cover at least the past 3 years of your employment/training.
