We are recruiting for a Staff Nurse who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The successful post holder will work on Lawrence Ward which is a well-established facility for the administration of chemotherapy and the acute care for both haematology and oncology patients.

Lawrence Ward is a 19 bedded ward that delivers a variety of chemotherapy agents, anti-cancer treatments and cares for the acutely unwell patient.

As a Staff Nurse you will possess the valuable skills to care for patients with cancer. Previous experience in either Oncology or Haematology is desirable, along with phlebotomy and cannulation skills but this is not essential as training will be provided.

The Staff Nurse will work in partnership with Galton Day Unit. As a team we have been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark and this is reflected in the high standard of care given to the patients under our care. We believe patients and their carers are at the centre of good care and we foster a collaborative approach.

In addition, we provide opportunities for both personal as well as professional development with strong links to the universities, and other in houses resources.
