£37,570 - £43,772 pro rata per annum

The Maternity Service at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust is currently seeking a passionate, committed and knowledgeable individual to drive forward work to reduce rates of smoking in pregnancy. The post holder will work with all maternity service staff to inform, motivate and energise them so that they are able to offer the best possible care and support for women in relation to smoking. The post holder will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with 2 fetal well being specialist midwives and will receive support from a consultant midwife. The post holder will also work in close liaison with the local stop smoking service and the Kent and Medway LMS (Local Maternity System).

This post provides an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of mothers and babies. Stopping smoking during pregnancy is the single most important change that a woman can make to ensure the best possible outcome for her baby.
