Adult Psychiatry

F/T Specialty Doctors, Medical Psychotherapy, with support for CESR progression.

Location:      St George’s Community Hospital, Sheffield

Hours:           10 PAs per week (8 DCC & 2 SPA)

We are looking for a committed individual to work with our established Specialist Psychotherapy teams following Trust investment into the Specialty Doctor grade

The successful applicant will work with the multidisciplinary teams offering assessment and treatment to adults with a range of mental health problems presenting in different settings.

The successful applicant will work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and other teams. 

The Trust actively supports doctors wishing to continue study for MRCPsych.  Successful applicants who wish to pursue CESR will be encouraged and assisted with this. The Trust has two CESR mentors who have recently achieved consultant status via the CESR route.  An opportunity to rotate between different posts will be available if desired in order to support a comprehensive CESR portfolio.

On-call experience equivalent to higher training is optional and will be remunerated via additional PAs by local agreement.

We welcome applicants who would like to progress in a SAS doctors role as well as

applicants who are interested in pursuing CESR.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for full registration with the General Medical Council and must have experience in general adult psychiatry.
