About the role

We are looking for motivated APP’s who are musculoskeletal specialists and are passionate about the consistent delivery of quality clinical management of musculoskeletal conditions for the patients presenting to our MSK services. We are looking for a generalist APP but would also welcome those with special interests in body specific areas, pain or rheumatology.

Our Darlington MSK service delivers MSK single point of access triage, physioline, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, CATS and FCP work in Darlington. This exciting opportunity means you will work closely with the rest of the team and be involved in triage, CATS clinical delivery and potentially FCP work as well as supporting the team with training, mentorship, audit and support. The service regularly provides student placements. There may be opportunities to work across our contracts based in south Tyneside and Northumberland.

You’ll work as a self-sufficient practitioner and deliver a quality clinical service meeting the clinical and commercial needs of the service.

Whilst undertaking comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs, you will formulate, deliver, review and progress individual programmes and ensure effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge is achieved.

Developing and promoting a positive and dynamic image and culture, you will be key in fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders such as local Consultants and GP’s, and provide support and training to other clinical staff and students.

Applications from job seekers who require current Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the current Resident Labour Market Test which will be in place until the end of December 2020.
