Feel Proud

You will be NMC registered and hold a specialist nursing degree.

As a Specialist Practitioner you are responsible for providing support, advice, information, education and health promotion to patients attending the sexual health department. This includes patients diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the health advisers provide support to other clinical staff with patients requiring more extensive support. Health advisers coordinate the management, delivery and follow up of positive results. Health advisers assess psychosocial needs and provide crisis support for patients with complex issues. Supporting patients with sensitive and complex issues makes the health adviser role challenging, varied and rewarding.

Working within the nursing team, you will work with the service manager, and clinical lead to deliver robust clinics.

We have built organisation-wide committees in many specialist fields. You’ll have the option to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from across the country. We get together regularly, auditing and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re-design. You’ll be a part of the pool of subject matter experts bringing together clinical and operational leads. You will be a part of quality improvements, research and development activity. Here we recognise and celebrate clinical excellence and dedication.

Feel Inspired

“Here at Virgin Care, colleague recognition is important to us and we know that across our services there are colleagues who deserve acknowledgment for their commitment for going above and beyond to ensure that their colleagues and service users feel the difference.”
