Band 5 Staff Nurse

Due to promotion a permanent position has arisen for a band 5 staff nurse to work 32.5 hours per week in our busy infusion clinics based at Chapel Allerton hospital. Cannulation skills would be preferable however training can be provided if needed.

We are a small friendly team dealing with patients with inflammatory bowel disease, as this a long term condition good inter personal skills are essential. We administer Infliximab, Vedolizumab, Ustekinemab, leucocytophoresis and Iron infusions and patients also attend to be taught how to give subcutaneous injections. Other duties will include pre assessment to ensure it is safe to administer treatment, dealing with anaphylactic reactions, cannulation and health education about side effects. Support and education will be given by the team.
