The Sussex Commissioners are an equal opportunities employer, and our workforce is currently under-represented from people from Black and Minority Ethnic and disabled communities. We would welcome applications from people from these communities as our ambition is that our workforce is fully reflective of the communities that we serve. Sussex CCGs are signed up to the disability confident scheme and we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.

We are proud of our organisational values. Our values underpin how we work together. In recruitment, we seek to attract, select and induct staff who's personal values are aligned with ours. As such we operate a values-based approach to recruitment; during the process will seek to understand more about the values and motivations of potential candidates. More information about our values is available in the attached values poster.

The vision for health and social care services across Sussex is to support people to live healthier and longer lives and, when unwell, have access to high quality, joined up health and care services.

To deliver this vision, local health and social care providers within Sussex are committed to working collaboratively to transform services. Working for Sussex Health and Care Partnership, the post-holder will work across the health and social care system. They will oversee a portfolio of transformational programmes and be responsible for commissioning and monitoring them.

We are seeking to appoint a Band 8A senior project manager for the STP diabetes programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to health and social care and improve patient experience and outcomes.

You will have a proven track record of delivering transformational change in health care.

You will need to be an experienced Project Manager (PRINCE 2 or equivalent) to lead pathway redesign, be able to produce high-quality business cases, have excellent communication skills and experience of stakeholder management.

If you want to make a significant contribution to the development and implementation of the Sussex Health and Care Partnership diabetes programme and the NHS Long-Term Plan, please apply.

Please note the following before applying:

1. Closing date: we reserve the right to amend the closing date based upon the number of applications received. Vacancies attracting a high volume of applications may therefore close earlier than advertised.

2. Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Border Agency requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit UK Border Agency website.

3. Interviews: all shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a face-to-face interview. Telephone interviews will not be considered.

4. Unsuccessful applications: if you have not been contacted within 3 weeks of your application, we regret that you will not have been offered an interview on this occasion.

5. Criminal records: due to the requirements of certain roles, a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure must be obtained by the organisation. Please be aware that anyone who is included in the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) barred lists will commit an offence if they engage, or seek or offer to engage, in a regulated activity from which they are barred.

6. General: this post will be subject to review under the relevant NHS Terms and Conditions of Service.

7. Please note travel expenses to attend interview will need to be met by applicants.
