Our physical healthcare services include intermediate care services in Hammersmith & Fulham as part of the Community Independence Service partnership.

Our national, specialist and forensic services include:

  • Medium secure services on the St Bernard’s Hospital site in Ealing
  • Services for people with complex and severe personality disorder at the Cassel Hospital in Richmond
  • High secure services at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire

H&F Crisis Assessment &Treatment Team Band 6 Crisis Care Practitioner

This is a unique and exciting time to join a rapidly expanding and developing crisis service, helping to implement a new clinical model that puts the patient at the very centre of how we work.

In December 2018 the CQC increased our Crisis services’ rating to ‘Good’ and the Trust has an explicit ambition to reach ‘Outstanding’. As part of this vision a significant amount of work is being undertaken to transform services, in particular alternative to hospital admissions, implementing best practice models across the health and social care system.

These plans are aligned to the aims set out in the NHS Long Term Plan as well as local priorities set out by the Crisis Care Concordat.

To fund this transformation WLT has successfully bid for increased recurrent funding to enhance crisis services in three key areas:

  • Increasing crisis staffing provision towards high fidelity to the core model
  • Increased alternative crisis provision including a safe haven, step-up services, a crisis café and support networks
  • Increased psychiatric provision for older people

Following our latest inspection the CQC reported as follows:

Staff teams were highly motivated and morale was strong in the teams we visited. Staff were positive about the support they received from managers and felt they were supported to develop, personally and professionally by the trust.”

We are seeking Registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers to develop our Multi-Disciplinary Teams within crisis services. We offer significant training opportunities to our staff (including DBT and ACT), as well as specific career pathways for moving up through the staffing grades, and believe that WLT is a great trust for staff looking to advance in their careers.
