Ward B1 is our Elective Orthopaedics Department

B1 is a 26 bedded ‘ring fenced’ elective orthopaedic ward. We are a dedicated team of nurses who provide a supportive learning environment for staff who wish to develop their skills or become orthopaedic practitioners.

We in return will offer opportunities for career development which may include a bespoke rotational programme to meet your needs and enable you to progress your career whilst gaining experience in Trauma, Hip Fracture and Elective Orthopaedic nursing. In addition there will be an option to add on a specialist area to your rotation programme if you wish. We can also offer an opportunity to join our Internship Programme where you will work alongside our Consultant Nurse and Advanced Nurse Practitioner who will support you to achieve competencies and develop your skills in orthopaedic nursing.
