The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced radiographer to join King’s College Hospital as Head of Radiography.

The Head of Radiography is managerially and professionally responsible for the leadership and clinical effectiveness of all radiographers at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill. In addition the post holder is responsible for clinical and professional standards, and the delivery of safe, high quality Radiographic practice.

This is a key position within the Radiology care group and as a member of the triumvirate management team, the post holder will work closely with the General Manager and Clinical Director to manage the day-to-day delivery of services and support with strategic developments. It is an exciting time to join King’s as Radiology has recently benefited from significant investment in new equipment in plain film, CT, mammography and angiography, with more planned this year. The post holder will play a central role in helping to deliver the radiographic workforce strategy, extended scope of practice for radiographers and service transformation.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, energetic and resilient team player with excellent communication skills and a flexible and adaptable approach. As the role involves managing a large team, experience in people management and team development is essential. You must also be able to deal with confidential issues in a professional manner and be able to work under pressure with competing priorities.
