Woodingdean Medical Centre

Warren Road, Woodingdean, Brighton, BN2 6BA


Pay: £8.47 per/hr


Hours per week: 24-38 hrs

Shifts between 8.00am & 6.30pm plus extended hours shift twice a month to 8.30pm



We have positions available for between 24-38 hours per week working  Mondays to FridaysThe starting salary is £8.47 per hour   All applicants must have a flexible approach to hours, and an ability to work under pressure and undertake tasks.  Excellent communication and computer skills are essential for this role. 


Permanent position available: Immediately


Computer system: TPP (SystmOne)- Full training will be given.



The successful candidate will need to carry out the following main duties as part of our Administration Team:


  • Liaising with patients and attending to enquiries both over the phone as well as face to face

  • Manage the booking and cancelling of appointments for clinics

  • Updating the SystmOne database with patient information

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence

  • Handling of repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice procedures  

  • Maintaining medical records

  • Communicate efficiently between all medical staff and patients.

    Experience Required:



  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Reception / administration experience

  • Good team player

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a busy working environment

  • Good IT skills



  • Working within a GP Surgery

  • Using the System One database
