An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse within the Acute medical unit at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital NHS Trust , this is an exciting time for Acute medicine as we continue in preparing services in readiness for moving into our new hospital the Midland Metropolitan.

This is a 47 bedded acute medical unit which includes a 6 bedded monitored area for level 1 patient. The unit takes referrals from our Emergency dept. Single point of access (SPA)

Applications are welcomed from qualified Registered Nurses who has substantial relevant and recent clinical experience within an acute NHS setting working in a Band 6 position

The post holder will be identified as a clinical expert within the acute medicine and have experience of effective leadership and management of the nursing team in an environment which is complex and pressurised.

They will be required to have a high clinical profile ensuring the provision of effective and efficient care through the management of available resources. At this level the post holder is expected to work as a skilled nurse and demonstrate excellent leadership and managerial skills at a senior level.
