Circa £35-40k per annum, depending on skills and experience

We provide services for NHS CCGs, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts, and other providers of NHS funded services. We deliver over 125,000 patient interactions annually, including outpatient appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery. Our services are delivered through a variety of models including Managed Services and Ophthalmology Joint Venture (OJV) Partnerships.


We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Governance Officer to join our expanding team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and facilitating the development of effective governance, risk, patient safety and assurance by implementing corporate and clinical governance structures.

The successful candidate will be required to liaise with people at all levels and co-ordinate all aspects of governance across the company. This includes audit, incidents and complaints, maintenance of risk registers, policies and procedures and training.

It is expected that significant UK travel will be required.

Candidates must have:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in a healthcare governance related role
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing and managing healthcare governance structures including corporate and clinical governance, risk management and assurance framework
  • Knowledge and experience of working with one or more of the main healthcare regulatory bodies
  • Experience of audit and a clear track record in supporting service improvement
  • Experience of management of healthcare standards, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of risk management system
  • Demonstrable track record of building effective working relationships
  • Ability to prepare reports and present complex information to a variety of audience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A high degree of IT literacy
