An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapists to join our team within the Clinical Specialist Services Division at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

The successful applicants will be able demonstrate clinical knowledge relevant to the core rotations in Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Respiratory Medicine, Surgery, Critical Care and the Frailty Unit.

We are looking for individuals who are flexible to the needs of the service and who has excellent time management and communication skills. The ability to work as part of a team is essential in order to provide an effective and efficient service.

The Clinical Leads for each area and other senior staff will support your development. The post holder will work alongside and provide supervision to more junior staff, including Physiotherapy Assistants and Students.

The Physiotherapy department is committed to CPD and evidence-based approach to practice. In-service training is provided and attendance at relevant external courses is often supported. The trust provides clinical placements to students from Sheffield and Nottingham.

Chesterfield Royal is one of the early adopters of the NHS 7 day work programme and where appropriate, hours will be worked to support 7 day service delivery. The post holder will also be required to participate on the respiratory on call rota.

A staff appraisal system is in operation and all staff are expected to keep a portfolio to chart professional development.

This post will require a disclosure and barring service check. Please note that successful external candidates will be required to pay for their own DBS disclosure. The current price of the check is £44 for an enhanced check and £26 for a standard check. The cost will be deducted from the first salary payment.
