The IT infrastructure team provides support for the IT and Communication infrastructure at both acute sites of the Trust and other community sites. The team also supports a substantial number of remote workers both clinical and corporate.

We are looking for enthusiastic, professional people who want to join our IT Infrastructure team as a Converged Infrastructure Technician L1

Working in a small team of infrastructure technicians, the successful applicant will be primarily focusing on the support of the Trust’s Unified Communication system and other communication, messaging and contact centre systems that are utilised throughout the Trust with other data network responsibilities.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and technical skills and the ability to offer a flexible responsible and positive approach to this challenging position.

Previous experience at a similar level and knowledge of Unify Open Scape Telephone Systems, SIP Trunks, VOIP, IP Networking, Analogue Lines, Contact Centres, Voice Mail/Conferencing Systems, Mobile Telephony, Call Recording/Logging, Instant Messaging Platforms and Mobile Device Management platforms will be desirable.

This is an exciting time for the Trust’s Telecommunications department, with a number of key projects at the early stages of development or implementation to support the Trust’s digital transformation and to upgrade the current old communication systems. The successful candidate will be expected play a key role in project activities and support the users via the service desk. The role also involves participating in an on-call service provision outside the core business hours of the Trust.

You will be working with very friendly, small, highly technical team. There is an opportunity to gain network management skills. You will also gain exposure to the latest communication technologies
