Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust is building on its impressive track record and requires an Estates Officer (Projects) to manage and deliver small projects within the Trust’s capital investment and minor works programmes and also work as part of a team on larger schemes.

Reporting to the Senior Capital Projects Manager, you will be responsible for the design and management of delegated mechanical and electrical engineering projects and some small building construction projects. You will integrate with all sections of the Estates and Facilities Division and liaise with Trust staff and project professionals.

The role will also support the Compliance Manager in managing the asbestos process and projects. This will entail some ‘out of hours’ working where you will be expected to organise, attend and audit remedial works and surveys.

To succeed in the role you will have proven project management experience within the engineering construction environment, together with a sound knowledge and understanding of purchasing procedures and relevant statutory and preferably Healthcare specific guidance. A thorough working knowledge of CDM and other Health and Safety legislation and guidance is essential.

Possessing a professional qualification, (HNC or equivalent as a minimum) you will have the skills to prepare feasibility studies, specification of works, working drawings, contract documentation, project time-tables, manage contractors on site, organise and chair site meetings and prepare value for money and technical reports.

As a valuable member of our team, you will be based in a modern office environment with personal access to a computer workstation with both AutoCAD and Revit packages and access to the Trusts corporate E-mail and Internet facilities.
