Consultant ENT Surgeon

 

The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department are looking for enthusiastic, forward-thinking Consultants in ENT Surgery to join the team substantively.

 

We want to invest in applicants who are motivated and dedicated to providing high standards of patient care and see their own personal and professional development as a priority but who will be fit to manage the growing challenges of healthcare in the UK as we move forward.

 

We have two hospital sites. Both have fully equipped ENT theatre facilities. Acute, emergency and paediatric theatre cases are undertaken on our ‘hot’ site Warrington hospital, with day case work being done at Halton site. Outpatient clinics are provided at both hospitals.

 

An on-call rota of 1:3 for weekdays is in place covering Warrington & Halton Teaching Hospitals and this is supplemented by a regional 1:10 weekend rota which also covers Wirral University Teaching Hospital and The Countess of Chester Hospital.

 

All applicants for the Consultant post would ideally be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within six months of obtaining their CCT award at the time of interview.

 

If the applicant has specific competencies or interests in sub-specialty areas, such as skin cancer, head and cancer, otology, paediatrics and facioplastics this will be supported.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
