We are currently recruiting Waiting List Assistants to join us at Musgrove Park, Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

The Post

About the Role

As a Waiting List Assistant, you will be part of a team responsible for the co-ordination and organisation of a comprehensive patient centred Admission Service, ensuring continuity in achieving excellence in patient care within local and national time frames. You will be expected to make decisions which will lead to good booking practice, and the provision of an excellent support mechanism for both patients and clinical teams.

We are looking for someone who is able to make balanced decisions, has experience of customer care, is able to demonstrate great role model behaviours, with outstanding communication and listening skills.

This role is working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days; however we can, when service provision allows, offer the option of 37.5 hours per week over 4 days and this can be discussed during interview.

You will require impeccable interpersonal skills, to communicate effectively to colleagues of all levels of seniority, and be able to build superb working relationships, to ensure common goals can be achieved.

We have a large dedicated open plan office with desks for each staff member. Our Department is supported by excellent, Team Leaders and a Department Manager.
