Would you like to make a real difference to cancer care in Norfolk and Waveney?

The Norfolk and Waveney Sustainability and Transformation Partnership have a unique opportunity to make a real difference to cancer patients across the area. As part of this work we are recruiting to STP cancer transformation roles to support the transformation of cancer pathways and supportive cancer care for all people affected by cancer.

You will be working within The James Paget University Hospital to drive through the transformation of cancer care for local patients. The role will require you to work closely with a number of organisations and partners and manage relationships so that we can break down organisational barriers and work as part of a team transforming cancer services for patients in your area.

You will be playing a key role in supporting the Norfolk and Waveney STP to deliver transformational change in cancer and the local improvement plan as agreed with the East of England Cancer Alliance Board.

You will be communicating widely across the STP foot-print and the rest of the East of England with many different stakeholders including clinical teams, Public Health, patient representatives and CCG personnel involved in the Cancer Alliance and STP work programme.

 

Band 3 Patient Pathway Co-ordinator, Cancer Services

37.5 hours Fixed Term/Secondment until 31-Jan-2021

The Cancer Services MDT/PPC team are looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic individual who has excellent IT and data input knowledge and skills to join our team. Applicants should be a team player, conscientious and have excellent interpersonal skills, as they will be working closely with a variety of staff across the Trust. The main focus of the role will be to ensure that data collected on each patient on Somerset Cancer Register is accurate and collected fully to ensure patients meet the 28 Day Faster Diagnosis Standard target, processing 2ww (2 week wait) referrals, tracking and proactive management of potential cancer patients to ensure they meet National Cancer Targets, along with data input and liaison with specialist teams. Previous experience with Trust IT systems would be beneficial.
