An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 generic mental health practitioner to work to work in East Sussex CAMHS ( Hastings ). This is a training role within the Child and Young Persons Improving Access To Psychological Therapies Programme (CYP-IAPT). The focus on the training would be learning Systemic Child and Family interventions as part of a two year training at Kings College.

The post- holder will work in the service for at least 1.5 days of the week using the newly developed skills whilst attending the training programme for one day.

Community CAMHS is crucial in providing assessment and treatment for young people in Sussex. You would be working with a range of conditions including Depression, Anxiety, OCD, ADHD and ASC. You do not have to have had CAMHS experience for this role, however you do need to have good engagement and assessment skills, and prior experience of working with Young people and their families.

The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant, dynamic, self-directed and high functioning team. If you enjoy working intensively with young people who present with a variety of different mental health and social needs, and are willing to manage risk, and complex case and professional networks, we would welcome your application. You would have access to regular team supervision and individual supervision from our Family Therapist
