Locum Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

(6 months)

Applications are invited for a locum Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Warrington Hospital. We are seeking to appoint a Locum Consultant providing flexible cover to the needs of the department for an initial fixed term period of 6 months


The post has become available following the retirement of a long-standing member of the Consultant workforce. This is a perfect opportunity for a flexible consultant post supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of Obstetric and Gynaecology services across Warrington and Halton

Consideration will be given for special interests which further develop departmental services. Flexibility within the job plan is essential.

The post attracts 10 PAs inclusive of on call, with an on call supplement. The post includes 1:8 on call on the consultant rota with prospective cover; the department hopes to move to a 1:9 on call rota in the near future.

Applicants must have full registration with the GMC, hold MRCOG. Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or hold of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of obtaining CCT.
