The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA) unites five local hospitals to deliver high quality care across the North East of Greater Manchester.

Our Care Organisations are designed to operate within our group arrangement of hospitals, community and healthcare services which bring together over 17,000 staff and the services of The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a Senior Nurse with excellent leadership skills and relevant experience to join the team on H6

H6 is a eight bedded fast paced surgical ward, which admits both male and female patients with a variety of different surgical conditions. H6 is a monitored area which provides enhanced care for both emergency and elective Surgical patients. MDT working is imperative and the ward work closely with a variety of Surgical Consultants and their teams, Pharmacy, Pain team, ERAS, physiotherapy and Specialist nursing teams.

Both elective and emergency patients are nursed on the ward with input from a variety of specialties – including urology, gynecology, bariatric and general surgery.

We are looking for a nurse with appropriate experience and the ability to lead the ward team with the ethos of saving lives, improving lives.

You will need to ensure that as well as providing clinical leadership, and taking responsibility for direct staff management and the running of the ward, you have the ability to meet deadlines and the skills and desire to manage care within budget.

You should also be politically aware, be able to create vision for the team, and influence change in the clinical area.

You must be able to motivate staff to achieve high standards, and possess excellent communication skills to ensure that the aims of the organisation are achieved. The patients' needs will always be at the center of any focus that you have to ensure a positive patient journey.

Suitably experienced applicants are welcomed from all nursing specialties.
