If you are successful in securing employment you will be employed by Simply Serve Limited (SSL), which is 100% owned by Yeovil Hospital (YDH). You will be working within the YDH group, and the values, culture and objectives will be closely aligned to those of the NHS, however you will be employed on SSL terms and conditions and therefore this role will not contribute towards continuous NHS service


The Cyber Security & IT Project Manager role is new to the business, so this is an opportunity for you to work with the Head of IT Operations in shaping and developing the security structure, processes and technologies for both the short and long term. Within the role, you will be dealing with a variety of internal issues including; monitoring systems, daily monitor and check data movements, maintain the integrity of email security, system patching and roll out IT security technologies.


The role is required to carry out Cyber Security assessment and improvement across the Trust, monitoring and maintenance of security-related infrastructure and software and the planning & implementation of a wide variety of IT-centric projects. Ensuring resilience, IT Security, Data Protection, Best Practise and Information Governance requirements are met.
The postholder may be required to work outside of normal working hours to undertake specific duties that will ensure the uninterrupted delivery of patient care.
