COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH NURSE (Band 6) OR

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (Band 6)

OR SOCIAL WORKER

NEW CMHT (north east Wiltshire) has a vacancy for a band 6 post. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team. You must be professionally registered and have experience in mental health. You must have good communication skills and be able to manage a complex caseload with a wide variety of patient needs. Having experience of this would be distinct advantage. We would require a minimum of 18-months post-qualification experience.

We are an ageless service and we aim to keep staff working within their area of expertise. However, this also means you can draw upon the expertise and skill-set of the whole team, enhancing your own abilities, as well as learning something new.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in working with people towards their recovery. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive working environment and will therefore offer regular clinic, managerial and peer supervision. You will also receive guidance from the team manager, senior practitioner and senior team members during the first few months of the post to help you settle into the post as working in a new environment can be challenging.

We are continually looking to develop our psychological interventions within the team to improve the overall experience of both service users and carers. We are developing our skills in working with people within group settings and to this end; we have developed groups for both service users and carers. We support our band 6’s in facilitating these groups and work closely with our colleagues in the psychological therapies dept. These groups are proving popular for both clients, carers and staff.

The team works Monday to Friday with the core hours of 9-5 and covers a large geographical area. We will supply you with a laptop and a smartphone to help reduce your travelling time.
