What we are looking for:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Rehabilitation team at St Peter's Hospital. Provide are seeking a Band 3 Data Administrator/Ward Clerk to work on our community ward in Maldon where we specialise in rehabilitation. We have 26 beds with 12 of the beds dedicated to stroke rehabilitation. However, we also look after patients with long term conditions who are not well enough to remain at home, but do not need an acute hospital bed .

This is a job share position working 3 days a week with days to be negotiated. The ability to cover Job share Annual Leave is required in order to provide the essential administration support to this very busy department.

We are looking for a candidate who is committed to high quality performance, dynamic, can work in faced paced environment with excellent ability to prioritise and to be able to remain calm in a demanding and changeable situation.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised to provide an outstanding service.You will need to be confident working within a team in a fast paced environment, have excellent communication skills, IT skills and be comfortable communicating with patients and colleagues at all levels and work quickly and accurately under pressure.

You will be responsible and accountable for consistently and accurately performing your role, delivering a high quality service in a confident and courteous way to service users.

This post requires proven experience delivering high quality service, working within administrative environment, using multiple IT systems, managing data, preferable NHS experience but not essential.

About the service:

St. Peter’s Ward is a 26 bedded ward providing a service supporting rehabilitation, including stroke rehabilitation beds, admission avoidance and end of life care . The ward is nurse led, supported by Medical Practitioners and provides a progressive service which promotes multidisciplinary working. The philosophy is one that encourages staff participation at all levels and identifies opportunities for service and career development.

The successful applicant will be required to integrate and communicate with the Multi Disciplinary Team to support a team approach to care. There are close working relationships with medical practitioners and MDT which encourage a seamless and proactive approach to planning successful discharge.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to work as part of the Community Ward Team in Maldon.

This vacancy is for St Peter's Ward in Maldon. However, Provide have a Community Ward in Halstead providing rehabilitation services. It may be necessary at times to work at another site according to service requirements. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to this possibility.
