8B Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Ashford and St Peter’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is every bit as special as the babies we care for.

We are the Lead level 3 NICU for Surrey and part of the Surrey, Sussex and Kent Network, providing expert care for the sickest and most complex babies. We use evidence based practice and are always improving our techniques to provide best care for all babies. We are a leading team in proving high flow nasal cannula therapy using Vapotherm both in the unit and in the delivery room. We have now adopted delayed cord clamping for all preterm infants and birthday cuddles before admission to NICU.

We have a total of 36 cots, consisting of 10 ITU and an 8 bedded transitional care unit and host the Surrey arm of theTransport Service.

A very exciting, rare opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our existing team of 5 ANNP’s due to the team expanding. You will be supported personally and professionally by our team of Senior Nurses and Consultants. We work closely with all professionals and have always received positive feedbacks from KSS paediatric trainee doctors who come back to work with us again.You will need to be an excellent communicator and an exceptional team player that thrives in a busy and stimulating work environment. You should be self-motivated, and have proven clinical and organisational skills at advanced level. The role requires the candidate to have a high level of accountability, clinical leadership, education and supervision, with a proactive approach to help drive improvements in the service by leading by example using audit and QI projects to guide best practice. The successful candidate will undertake shifts and roles that both meet the competency of the individual and the clinical needs of the patient population
