Vacancy for – Note Summariser

30 hours per week Monday to Friday. Job share considered and hours flexible.

Salary - will be dependent on experience but in the range of £8.45 - £10.30 per hour.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced, positive and flexible person to be part of the Ardingly Court Surgery Administration Team.

As an note summariser you will:

* have previous experience of working in a GP Surgery (EMIS Web) is desirable
* have a proven ability in a customer service environment
* be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
* enjoy working within a team
* have strong organisation skills
* have a good understanding of IT

THE SURGERY:Based in Brighton, this friendly, busy surgery has a patient list of approximately 7,000 patients. They are currently looking for a note summariser to join their committed team.

THE ROLE:Being a note summariser is so much more than trawling through records. In this role you will have the opportunity to help people. The doctors and nurses depend heavily on the quality of the clinical records to provide much needed information to the patients and other teams across the surgery.

This is a busy and varied role that you will find interesting and often challenging but above all, rewarding. You will be working in a lovely atmosphere. Joining a friendly, approachable and committed team who enjoy the work they do.

THE CANDIDATE:To be a successful note summariser, it’s all about your skill set. You will have experience in clinical information with a wide range of medical terminology at your fingertips. You will have good communications skills, strong written and spoken English. You will need sound IT skills, preferably with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
