We have an exciting opportunity for a Secretarial Assistant in the Paediatric Surgical Unit and Neurosurgery team within the Division of Surgery & Critical Care.

You will be a flexible and conscientious person who is self-motivating and can work under pressure. This post primarily requires you to produce dictated correspondence using both audio and digital transcribers.

You will also be required to provide quality administrative and secretarial support services to the Secretarial team working efficiently with current systems and processes and ensuring security and accessibility of relevant information and documentation and to help underpin the smooth running of the office.

You will work under the direction of the Team Leader, but will be capable of using your own initiative. You will be required to adopt a flexible approach and must enjoy working as part of a mixed skill team.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
