We are expanding our Nursing Team to include a Research Nurse  

Due to the development of our Primary Care Network we have a vacancy for an experienced Research Nurse up to 24 hours per week to work on a joint research programme with four Practices making up The Stokes Primary Care Network. Our Primary Care Network serves a 56,000 patient population so there will be plenty of opportunities for research and development.

Please note the following changes which will impact all roles advertised by Bristol Community Health (BCH).

  • From 1 April 2020, adult community health services in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire will be provided by a single provider, Sirona care & health and we are committed to working closely with Sirona to ensure the safe transfer of services and staff in all eligible posts. Like Bristol Community Health, Sirona is a not for profit organisation and further information can be found in the attached fact sheet.

    BCH has issued notice on the following contracts:

    • Community Children’s Healthcare Services Contract (currently provided under a sub-contract to Sirona). This contract is likely to end on 31 March 2020 and to transfer to Sirona, although this is not confirmed. Therefore if you are appointed to a role within Community Children’s Healthcare Services you are likely to be transferred to the new provider on or around 01 April 2020, alongside staff directly involved in the delivery of this contract.
    • Diabetic Eye Screening Service Contract - his contract is in the process of being re-procured and is likely to end on or shortly after 31 March 2020, although this date has not yet been confirmed. If you are appointed to a role within the Diabetic Eye Screening Service you are likely to be transferred to the new provider on or around 01 April 2020, alongside staff involved in the delivery of this contract.
    • Offender Health Services Contract – it is likely this contract will end on or around 31 March 2020 although this date is not confirmed. A new provider for this contract has yet to be agreed but if you are appointed to a role within Offender Health Services you are likely to be transferred to a new provider on or around 01 April 2020, alongside other staff involved in the delivery of this contract.
