CONSULTANT

EMERGENCY MEDICINE – ROCHDALE INFIRMARY URGENT TREATMENT CENTRE

Salary: Consultant- Medical and Dental Pay scale (£79,860 to £107,668 pro rata for part time)

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and committed Consultant in Emergency Medicine to be based at the Rochdale Infirmary Site. There are opportunities to work full-time or part-time, and to be part of a highly motivated and supportive multi-disciplinary team working in a busy Urgent Treatment Centre which is open 24/7 and sees approximately 55,000 attendances a year. We are looking for an applicant who will bring a focus to high performance and quality of care to our patients.

As an Emergency Medicine Consultant you will provide leadership to the Rochdale Infirmary Urgent Treatment Centre, and you will work in collaboration with clinicians in acute, speciality, and community medicine. The successful applicant will be expected to competently run the Department and provide support and supervision to both the medical and nursing teams.

The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS has recently undergone major transformation and reconfiguration. The Trust and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust have joined together to create a new Group of hospitals (The Northern Care Alliance) to deliver a variety of local healthcare services. Four Care Organisations (Oldham, Bury/Rochdale, North Manchester and Salford) have been created who provide local leadership with the aim to build strong relationships with the local social care and health providers.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate extensive experience in Emergency Medicine.
