The Sheffield Children's Hospital are seeking 2 enthusiastic and motivated Senior Secretaries/Secretarial Team Leaders to join two established and highly skilled teams.

The posts available are 15 hours, Mon & Tues (General Paediatrics/Continence/Chronic FatigueTeam) and 16 hours, Thurs & Fri (Allergy/Immunology & Infectious Diseases Team).

Consideration will be given to candidates interested in the combined posts or singular. Please specify which post, or posts, you are interested in on your application.

Your areas of responsibility will include; medical secretary to Consultants, day to day line management of staff including appraisals, training and competency packages and recruitment.

You must possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with people. A good level of attention to detail is essential to the role as is the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

You will be a Senior Medical Secretary, able to work at all levels across the Trust and with external and internal customers. You will need to have the ability to work on your own initiative in prioritising your workload and meeting deadlines whilst maintaining high standards.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
