It’s an exciting time for us; we’re an evolving organisation and we need dynamic and passionate people who always strive for ‘better’. Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will become Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) CCG from 1 April 2020.

As members of the CCG governing body, lay members will have a key role in ensuring the newly merged CCG exercises its functions effectively, efficiently, economically and with good governance. We are looking for local individuals with strong links to public and patient engagement to help us improve health, reduce inequalities and provide the best services for a diverse population.

We provide services for a diverse community and will welcome applications from all sections of society regardless of disability, age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief.

Lay members bring independent perspectives as well as specific non-clinical expertise and experience to the work of the CCG governing body. Their focus will be strategic and impartial, providing an external view of the work of the CCG that is removed from the day-to-day running of the organisation.

The appointed individuals will need to be available immediately upon appointment to participate in induction and occasional meetings of the newly forming BSW CCG Governing Body (in shadow form until the formal merger on 1 April 2020).

If you have the skills and experience to help us drive change and improvements to health services across the local area, please apply. We have a number of roles to fill, each with a specific focus;

  • BSW CCG lay member Audit
  • BSW CCG lay member Finance
  • BSW CCG lay member Primary Care Commissioning
