Band 7 Specialist Safeguarding Nurse/Midwife for Adults

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is a centre of excellence in specialist healthcare for women, children and their families in the West Midlands.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthuisiastic highly motivated nurse/midwife with a vision to develop and maintain high standards of care for women. The role requires the individual to have advanced experience of safeguarding. The individual will need to be enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about safeguarding adults.

We are looking for an experienced registered Nurse/Midwife who:


• has expert knowledge of legislation and statutory guidance in relation to safeguarding adults
• has high standards of safeguarding practice
• will provide support, advice and expert supervision for staff as required.
• can deliver and co-ordinate safeguarding training
• is an excellent communicator and has excellent inter-personal skills

The nurse/midwife must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, be a caring and compassionate individual focused on providing excellent quality patient care, working within the values held by the Trust.

The post holder will be part of an integrated safeguarding team of experienced, dedicated nurses and midwives providing quality specialised care for women and families with complex needs. This is a part-time post of 30hrs/week; less hours or job share unfortunately will not be considered.
