Role: General Practitioner and Clinical Lead for HORSEFAIR Surgery

Location: BANBURY

Sessions: Full time or Part time (flexibility - minimum 3 sessions)

Salary: Negotiable

Seeking an experienced GP/Clinical Fellow to provide clinical leadership, to join the management team and improve primary care services in a practice with 14,300 patients. You may be looking to step up to your first clinical management role or seeking a challenge in a supportive environment.


You will have the insight and drive to introduce clinical transformation and build a diverse clinical team to extend and improve quality of services to patients. You will champion the future development of the practice as part of the local health economy working alongside the Medical Director and Director of Clinical Services to implement additional services.


Banbury Cross Health Centre is being formed through the phased integration of several local

GP practices to ensure future sustainability and adopt good practice in delivering patients services. All practices involved have been rated good by the CQC. We are a training centre for GPs, and for our newly qualified GPs, have adopted a mentoring approach provided by our experienced GPs. A larger facility for patient services is also providing us the opportunity to expand our research capabilities with the aim of becoming a centre for training and research excellence.

The staff work environment and service provision is provided from pleasant and modern accommodation and we hold coffee meetings each day to support communication and team spirit. We are looking for GPs that are forward thinking on the future of patient care and have an appetite to help us shape the new BCHC.

Banbury is historic and expanding market town on the River Cherwell in Oxfordshire and is on the edge of the Cotswold. Oxford, Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa are close by and there are excellent public and private schools in the surrounding area.
