With many exciting and new opportunities ahead, we are embracing working with a new Head of Midwifery across an LMS Led by an exceptional Director of Midwifery; this is an exciting time to join our Trust.

At Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital, we strive to be at the forefront of innovative midwifery care. We are a large, friendly tertiary centre providing care for over 8000 women a year. Proud to be dedicated to women’s healthcare, we are committed to offering choice for the women we provide care for each year. Our midwifery service strives hard to meet women’s individual needs and also offers choice in their place of birth, supporting Better Births and continuity of Carer, whether the choice be home birth, Birth Centre, or Delivery Suite. Join our supportive, friendly Trust and be part of our dynamic professional team providing excellent care for women and their families.

Our Band 6 posts are rotational throughout our Service offering dedicated PMA support, a named B7 line manager, opportunities to work within our specialised teams such as Diabetes and Fetal Medicine and dedicated peer support to help manage your probationary period.

We actively support you to develop and enhance your skills and maximise your potential in all aspects of midwifery.

Provide bespoke Continuity of carer, in high and low risk settings as part of BUMP and our better births strategy.
