Fetal Monitoring and Surveillance Midwife

Birmingham Women’s and Childrens Hospital is one of only two Trusts in the country specialising in the care of women and delivers the highest standards of care for women, babies and their families each year we deliver over 8,300 babies. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident, motivated, forward thinking and dynamic senior midwife to join our senior midwifery team in the interim 12 months. The Fetal monitoring and Surveillance midwife will lead on improving the standard of intrapartum risk assessment and fetal monitoring, in accordance with element 4 of the Saving Babies’ Lives Care Bundle, Version 2 (SBLCB2): Effective fetal monitoring during labour. To include Fresh Eyes and Fresh Ears processes and compliance. To support the implementation of element 2 (SBLCB2): Risk assessment, prevention and surveillance of pregnancies at risk of fetal growth restriction (FGR) and element 3 (SBLCB2): Raising awareness of reduced fetal movement (RFM).

You must be a practicing Midwife, who will provide positive clinical leadership by acting as a role model and resource within the midwifery team, for our women, babies, families and colleagues.
